What's new
What landed in stipt over the past weeks. Updated whenever something goes live.
September 2026
Dropped out stays dropped out
When you drop out a record that still has appointments, open quotes or a partner working on it, the same panel lists them. You pick what goes along: cancel the appointments, decline the quotes so the customer cannot sign after all, and drop out the linked record at your partner too. You decide whether the customer gets an email about it. The field worker's form lapses, and for a shared visit only this record is removed. On top of that, an appointment or quote that runs its course later no longer pulls a dropped-out or closed record back into the flow. Only a new booking, quote or acceptance reopens it.
Team chat in dot: colleagues and dot in one conversation
Your team chats now live in the dot chat: in the floating chat on every page and on the home page, in the same layout as your chats with dot. Type @ to mention a colleague (you see who is online and what they are looking at) or @dot to bring dot into a group chat. Type # to tag a record, conversation, task, quote, appointment or file as a neat chip; tag a record with a question to dot and he knows it right away. Share the page you are on in one click, send attachments, react with an emoji and create a task from the conversation. On the home page the right column shows who is in the chat and everything shared there. Search the list at the top by name and by message. Also new: in his own chat dot reads the photos and PDFs you send along. If you belong to several workspaces, all your team chats sit in one list and you see who is present even in a chat from elsewhere.
Self-billing: the invoice straight into your own bookkeeping
Every self-bill now carries a UBL file next to the PDF: the same invoice, machine readable. Your supplier books it as a sales invoice without retyping anything, and you can have a self-bill go to your processing address automatically once it is approved, with the PDF and UBL attached. That works with Basecone, Yuki, Moneybird, Exact and your bookkeeper. Set a payment term alongside it and test the address with a trial message. Because the booking moment is the supplier's approval, the same invoice can never enter your books twice, and an invoice that was objected to never enters them at all.
Discount after the quote, without re-entering lines
In a record's Products module you can now adjust the unit price of any line: a catalog line keeps its product, a quote line gets a price on the record while the signed quote stays untouched. Also new is the discount line: description, amount and VAT, negative in the total and carried to the invoice as a discount line, but not on the packing slip or at the partner. A quote-wide discount now shows pro rata in the module's unit prices. The API accepts the same line and quote discounts.
Visits: Start form, In progress and Done
The worker no longer marks themselves 'on site' and then waits for the form to unlock. For an appointment with a form they tap Start form: the form opens immediately while the office work behind the status change runs in the background. Without a form they tap Finish. In the portal and in the office calendar the visit then shows In progress (blue dot) while the form is still open, and Done (green) once it is submitted. You can see at a glance which visit is still waiting on its paperwork.
Cancel an appointment after the fact, even once On site
The office can now cancel an appointment in any status, even after the worker marked it On site or Did not go ahead. Useful when an appointment sat with the wrong worker. You choose whether the customer gets an email and which one. Cancelling drops the worker's draft form so it no longer holds up their queue; scheduling again creates a new form.
Shared appointment: one visit for multiple records
An appointment type now plans multiple record types at once, such as solar panels and a home battery. When a customer has several records on the planning status they appear as a single visit in the calendar, with the duration of the combination. Self-scheduling bundles them automatically after a short wait and the customer receives one invitation. In the portal the installer sees one appointment, one form and a work order with the products per record. If a record arrives later that could have joined, the office gets a notification or a task.
July 2026
Quotes: commission, product data and attachments
Add a commission as a percentage markup baked into the unit prices; the customer never sees a separate line. Also new: the Product data block in the quote PDF and the email editor, and customers download the datasheets of the quoted products from a button on the quote page. You can now cancel a quote's acceptance; the quote becomes an editable draft again.
dot is your new home screen
After signing in you start with dot: your recent conversations, the chat and a day dashboard rebuilt fresh every day. Ask for your daily brief and dot lines up what needs attention today. Also new: dot answers calendar questions, such as who has availability tomorrow.
Lists: build your own overviews
Create saved lists across your records: pick a source such as products or appointments, then filter, group and sum. Think of an order list with everything that goes on the van next week. Share lists with colleagues, export them to Excel, and let dot build them for you in chat.
Accounting: invoice into Exact Online
Connect your accounting package and invoice a record straight into your books; the payment status flows back to the record automatically. Exact Online is the first supported package. Enable the module from the module library in settings.
Fixed attachments on email templates
Attach files to an email template, such as your terms or a brochure, and they go out automatically with every email sent from that template. Test emails include them too, so you see exactly what the customer receives.
Linked follow-up appointments
Chain appointment types together, such as a site survey first and the installation at least a week later. The customer can book both moments in one go through the same booking link, and stipt guards the minimum number of days in between.
Team members and roles refreshed
Inviting someone is now a single step and the team overview shows role, teams and access per person. New roles for read-only and external users, plus visibility per lead origin.
Customer happiness score
dot scores every active record for how happy the customer is, based on rules you define. The score shows as a badge on the customer, with a short explanation and the signals behind it.
Contact profiles on records
Give every contact on a record a profile, such as account manager or installer, with its own icon and description. Tasks and rules follow the profile, so work automatically reaches the right person.
Field portal refreshed
The portal now feels like an app on your phone, with a task list, availability submission and a route button to your navigation app. Records are searchable and show products, files and related records.
Work with partner companies
Link your workspace to a partner company and create a record directly on their side. You follow progress read-only and see the partner status in your own views.
Task templates
Create tasks once as a template, with variables and a trigger, and have them queued automatically at the right moment. It also works via chat: describe the task, dot proposes the template and you confirm.
June 2026
Contact page redesigned
The contact page now shows a customer card with all conversations and linked records in one place. Search the conversations and jump straight to the thread in the inbox.
dot on WhatsApp for your team
Your team messages dot on a dedicated internal number, even on the road. Questions are answered from the knowledge base; if dot cannot help, it hands over to a colleague.
Customers book their own appointment
Send a booking link and the customer picks from proposed time slots, with an arrival window instead of an exact time. The options account for your team's travel time, skills and work area.
Analyses and reporting
Ask dot for an analysis in plain language and save the result as a chart on the analytics page. Standard reports are included as well: flow per status, conversion per lead origin and inbox activity.
dot chat across the app
Open dot on any page; dot sees what you see and thinks with you. Ask for a draft reply or a summary, and dot remembers your preferences for next time.
Knowledge base and AI tools
Fill a knowledge base with PDFs and your own website; dot reads it all. dot uses that knowledge for draft replies, summaries and labeling incoming email, and you switch each tool on or off yourself.
WhatsApp chatbot for customers
Let dot answer customer questions on WhatsApp from your knowledge base. Rescheduling, cancelling or a callback request works too: dot proposes the action and the customer confirms with a button.
WhatsApp in the inbox
Connect your WhatsApp number and answer messages alongside email, in one thread per customer. Send approved templates manually or automatically, with delivery and read ticks.
May 2026
Inbox update: formatting, attachments, forwarding and shortcuts
You now reply with rich formatting, cc and bcc, and attachments, and you can forward a conversation to a third party. Drafts are saved, and replies sent straight from your own mailbox show up in the conversation too. Also new: search operators such as from: and has:, keyboard shortcuts, topics as folders in the sidebar and a signature per channel.
Self-billing: invoice on behalf of your subcontractors
With self-billing you draw up the invoice on behalf of whoever bills you, such as a subcontractor or lead source. The recipient gets a link, reviews the invoice and approves or objects. You set the fees and numbering yourself, and an invoice can be created automatically when a record reaches the right status.
Companies and partners as their own profiles
Companies and partner organisations now live as their own profiles in Contacts, separate from people. You link employees to a company and the company profile brings together the conversations and activity of its members. A record can now also have a company as its customer.
Appointments: a location per appointment and a redesigned appointment view
Every appointment now has a location: at the customer, at the office, online or other. The appointment view was redesigned, showing the emails around the appointment and a clear cancel option with or without an email to the customer. Scheduling in the past is blocked.
Analytics across your whole workflow
The new Analytics section shows KPI cards and charts for inbox, internal tasks, CRM, quotes, appointments and forms. Every period is compared with the previous one, so you see right away whether things improved. Think first response time, time per status and quote acceptance.
Personal dashboard
After signing in you now land on your own dashboard. You build your own counters and lists from the inbox, internal tasks and the CRM, for example every conversation assigned to you. Each widget is personal and clicks straight through to the work itself.
April 2026
Rules: automate your follow-up
Create rules that follow the pattern when this happens, do that. A trigger can be an event or a moment in time, for example a number of days after a quote. Actions such as sending an email, changing a status or creating a task run automatically, and the run history shows what ran.
A portal for external workers
Installers, subcontractors and partners get their own mobile-friendly portal. They only see what you switch on: their schedule, their to-dos and the records they are linked to. Everyone works in stipt without access to the full app.
Send quotes and get them accepted online
Build a quote from a record using products from your catalogue. The customer opens a personal page and accepts or declines; the status flows back to the record automatically. You control the PDF design, numbering and landing page per template.
Public API and API keys
Connect your own systems to stipt through the new API. You create API keys with permissions per area, such as contacts, records and appointments. The documentation and a log of every request live inside the app.
Connect your business mailbox
Connect Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace to stipt. Incoming mail arrives as conversations in the shared inbox and you reply straight from stipt. The whole team works from the same list, so nothing slips through.
A CRM you set up yourself
You now set up the CRM your way: which types of records you keep, which fields they carry and which statuses they move through. Every record is linked to a customer and keeps a full timeline of notes, status changes and files. You configure it all in a visual builder in the settings.
