stipt

Automation without code. You describe it, dot sets it up.

Tell dot which rule, tasks or list you need. It sets it up, you check it. A rule or task only exists once you confirm on the card.

Say what you want.dot knows where it goes in stipt.

You ask for rules, tasks, lists and changes to a record in the chat with dot, in your own words. It uses your own statuses, templates and colleagues.

Rules

A rule in one sentence.

Describe when something should happen and what should happen then. dot finds the moment, the action and the right template and sets up the rule as a proposal. Only after Create rule is it in Studio.

  • With your own statuses and templates
  • dot never creates or publishes anything itself
  • For admins, and for other roles with the Studio add‑on

After a no‑show

dot sets up the rule for a WhatsApp to reschedule. It only exists after your click.

Tasks

From an answer to a list of tasks.

Ask dot what's going on first, then ask it to turn that into tasks. It puts them on one card, each linked to the right record and the right colleague, and only creates them once you confirm.

  • Many at once too, as a follow‑up to a question
  • Admins up to 50 tasks per proposal, other team members up to 5
  • Only after you confirm are they in Tasks

Five requests

Every request that's been waiting over a week gets a call task for Daan Visser.

Lists

A list without hunting for columns.

Ask for an order list for next week or all of this month's quotes by status. dot uses the sources and columns of Lists, runs the list first as a check and sets it up as your list, with a link.

  • Ask for something extra and dot updates the same list
  • Then edit, share or export to Excel as usual
  • You switch on the Lists assistant yourself in Studio
Week 42

The order list has five products across three records, ready to order.

On the record

Update without searching.

On the record you have open, dot suggests changes: update a field, move the status or add an internal note. It carries them out once you confirm, the same way as by hand.

  • A field, the status or an internal note
  • First a card, then your click
  • Your rules and the log still apply
The scaffolding

Friday 9 October is in the Scaffolding field, with an internal note.

How a proposal works. You describe, dot sets up, you confirm.

Every rule dot builds for you goes through the same three steps. Creating it follows exactly the same paths as the screens in Studio.

1You describe
2dot sets it up
3You confirm

Never on its own

dot never creates or publishes a rule, workflow or template itself. Every proposal is a card with a button.

Choices on the card

If something isn't clear, dot asks on a choice card, for example who a task is for.

Try it first

On a recent record you see what a rule would do right now, with the real data. Nothing is sent or changed.

Who else is emailing?

If another rule already emails at the same moment, Try it tells you, with the name of that rule.

Every run with a reason

Rule runs shows what happened in each run, and in plain language why something didn't match.

Pause without deleting

The switch turns a rule off. It stays, with everything you set up.

Right there in Studio

What dot creates sits in Studio among your other rules, and you change it there as always.

Who can build

Rules and workflows through dot are for admins, and for other roles with the Studio add‑on.

Everything else dot handles. With the same card and the same click.

Besides rules, tasks and lists, dot prepares templates, workflows and your setup. Always as a proposal.

Templates in your style

Point at an existing email template and say which moments you want emails for. dot copies the tone, the form of address and the layout, with the sending rules if you like.

Records and status flows

Admins have dot set up the record structure, status flows and views, as an editable tree on the card.

Calendar and first form

Admins can also have dot set up a calendar with an appointment type and a first form, so you can get started straight away.

A workflow that stalls

When a workflow run fails, dot looks for the cause in the real run data, suggests a fix and can then start the run again.

Weekly reports

As an admin, say who manages what, and dot sets up a weekly report with a profile, day and time. You confirm, dot switches nothing on itself.

Why this status?

dot looks at the status history with its cause: which colleague, rule or self‑booking set the status.

Frequently asked questionsAbout rules and tasks with dot.

Does dot create rules or tasks by itself?

No. dot sets up a proposal on a card and only creates something once you confirm. That goes for rules, workflows, templates, tasks and changes to a record. A list is set up straight away as your list; it doesn't change any of your data.

Who can build rules with dot?

Admins, and team members with the Studio add‑on. If you're not an admin and ask for a settings change, dot explains how it works and refers you to an admin for the change itself.

How many tasks can dot set up at once?

Admins up to 50 per proposal, other team members up to 5. Each task is linked to the right record and the right colleague.

Can dot schedule appointments?

No. dot can read the calendars, but scheduling, moving or blocking happens in the calendar itself. If you want customers to pick their own appointment, look at smart planning in the calendar.

How do I test a rule before it goes live?

Open the rule in Studio and choose Try it on a recent record. stipt shows what the rule would do right now, with the real data, without sending or changing anything.

Can dot update a list later?

Yes. Ask for something extra, like a column, a shorter period or another filter, and dot updates the same list instead of making a second one. The link stays the same.
