stipt level: make your field team's performance measurable

With stipt level, technicians, sales reps and lead generators get a level that calculates itself from their last 90 days of work and can carry through to pay.

Short answer

stipt level is a module in stipt that gives technicians, sales reps and lead generators a performance level, with your own names such as Bronze, Silver and Gold. The level calculates itself every day from the last 90 days of work, using fixed metrics per role, such as the office's work review or quote conversion. Every participant sees their level in the portal, and through self‑billing a higher level can earn a better rate.

What is stipt level?

stipt level gives field staff a level: level 1, 2, 3 and up, each with its own name and targets. Better work climbs the ladder. Think of a technician whose jobs are mostly right the first time, a sales rep with strong conversion, or a lead generator whose appointments actually happen.

The level calculates itself. Nobody has to assign levels, and nobody can hand out one the numbers do not support. That makes the level measurable and explainable: every participant sees where they stand and what it takes to reach the next step.

Back office staff do not take part. Levels are for work that can be counted per job or per lead and attributed to one person.

How do you turn on stipt level and who manages it?

stipt level is a module and is off by default. An admin installs it in the Module center, under Settings > Modules. Management then lives in the settings under stipt level and is for admins only.

The module page has the tabs Schemes, Standings and Guide. Under Schemes you set up the ladders; under Standings you see how everyone is doing.

The module works independently of self‑billing. If you also use self‑billing, the level can carry through to pay. Without self‑billing, the level is a yardstick and a form of recognition for your team.

Which performance does stipt level measure per role?

Per scheme you choose a role, and that role sets the metrics. There is deliberately no free checklist, because a metric for technicians says nothing about a sales rep.

Executor measures Work reviews: the share of jobs the office rates as done well on accepted work orders. Lead generator measures Appointments that happen: present versus customer not home and cancelled, for whoever scheduled the appointment. A visit that fell through because of sickness, an overrun or undelivered materials does not count against the lead generator.

Sales measures Quote conversion and Accepted revenue (excluding VAT). Conversion counts per record, not per quote: five quotes to one customer ending in one acceptance count as one won opportunity.

How do you build a ladder with levels and targets?

Create a scheme in stipt level and pick the role. Then build the ladder: a name per level, for example Bronze, Silver and Gold, and a target per metric, such as a minimum percentage or a minimum amount. Level 1 is the base. A level counts once all of its targets are met.

On an executor scheme you also pick the work orders that count. Then you add the participants: portal employees with the profile of the chosen role. You tick them in a list with a search field. Everyone is in one scheme; if you add someone who is already in another scheme, they move.

You can run several schemes side by side, for example one for technicians and one for sales reps.

How does stipt calculate the level?

Every day stipt counts the measurements of the 90 days before, up to midnight, and gives each person the highest level whose targets are all met. So the level moves both ways: if a good job drops out of the window or a rejection comes in, someone can be Gold today and Silver tomorrow. What is reviewed today counts from tomorrow.

There is no minimum number of jobs. The percentage counts from the first review: one good job is 100%, and one rejection after that makes it 50%. That is why the standings always show the counts alongside, such as 90% at 9 out of 10.

If nothing was measured in the last 90 days, for example because of a holiday, the level of the last window with measurements stays. Someone who has never been measured starts at level 1.

How does the office review a technician's work?

When the office accepts a work order that counts, a question appears asking whether the technician did the job well. The answer is yes or no, and a reason is required on no. The review comes from the office, not from the technician, and only counts for work orders linked to an appointment, so the score lands on the right person. There is one review per work order.

Per scheme you set up to ten rejection reasons, for example Arrived late, Job not finished or Left a mess. The reviewer then picks one from a list, so you can add up what goes wrong most often. Leave the list empty and the reviewer types a reason themselves.

An admin can change a review afterwards. The review keeps its date, the level recalculates right away, and every change is kept with who, when and from what to what. A technician cannot object in stipt itself; that goes through the office.

Where do staff and the office see the standings?

Every participant sees their level of today, the metrics of the last 90 days and the targets for the next level on their account page in the portal. If they are paid through self‑billing and the partner page is on, the same level card appears there too.

The office uses the Standings tab of the module. Per scheme the participants are listed in order, with their level, their metrics and a progress bar toward the next target. Rejections and appointments that did not go ahead show as labels in the row, for example “3 rejected”. Expand a row to see the reasons with their counts and, for technicians, the reviews themselves. That way you can see whether it is always the same pattern.

On a record, the People involved block shows a small badge with today's level next to the name of a team member who takes part.

Frequently asked questions

Can I assign someone a level myself?

No. The level calculates itself every day from the measurements of the last 90 days. An admin can change a work review afterwards, though; the level then recalculates right away.

What happens to the level during a holiday?

If nothing was measured in the last 90 days, the level of the last window with measurements stays. The portal then says that the level stays where it is.

Do office staff take part in stipt level?

No. Levels are for work that can be counted per job or per lead and attributed to one person, such as that of technicians, sales reps and lead generators.

How do I keep reviews fair?

Keep whoever reviews the work orders out of the scheme, so they have no stake in the outcome. And if a follow‑up visit is needed because materials were not delivered, that is on planning: the reviewer can simply choose done well.

Does a self‑bill change if the level rises later?

No. A self‑bill fixes the level of the day of the appointment. Recalculating does not change it, even if the level has gone up or down since.

Can a technician object to a review?

Not in stipt itself. That goes through the office: an admin can change the review, and that change is kept with who, when and from what to what.
